Step 3
Using Wicks of Wisdom Spiritual Candles: 8 - Step Guide
1. Prepare & Assemble Your Set
Ensure you have all materials:
- 3 candles
- Herbs
- 4 bottles of essential oils
- Powers
- Parchment paper
- Tools: pencil, lighter, non-flammable utensil, and a pot with water
2. Dress the Candle
- Check and center the wick.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the herbs evenly around the wick.
- Add 1/3 of each essential oil into the candle.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the powers on top of the oils.
Each set has its unique formula, so oils and powers may vary.
3. Write Your Petition
- Use a pencil to print the first and last name (yours or the intended recipient’s) three times on the parchment paper. Ignore the 4-line grid.
- Scribble your sentences over the name in a circular motion as guided by Dr. Linda or based on your goals.
- Continue until the circle is blackened and illegible.
4. Light the Candle
- Use a lighter (not matches) to light the wick.
- Fold the parchment paper in half and carefully burn it in the candle flame using tweezers or a non-flammable utensil.
- Drop or stir the ashes into the candle’s oils, ensuring no herbs catch fire.
If a large flame occurs, use a utensil to pad it out or cover the candle with a pot lid to extinguish. Relight the wick to continue.
5. Monitor the Candle
- Place the lit candle in a pot with water to keep the base cool and burn it 24/7.
- If not comfortable burning 24/7, snuff (don’t blow) the flame out and relight it later.
- Don’t worry if the glass cracks, wax oozes, or the glass breaks—this is part of the spiritual work.
6. Transfer the Flame
- When the flame is about an inch from the bottom, use an incense stick to capture the flame and transfer it to the next prepared candle.
- Dress the next candle before transferring the flame.
- Repeat for all three candles.
7. Safely Dispose of the Candle
- Once a candle has burned out, allow the glass vessel to cool completely.
- Dispose of the glass and remnants promptly, as they hold residual energy.
- Blackened or smoky glass is normal and reflects the spiritual work done.
